Knife Gate Valve

Definition: A gate valve designed specifically for high viscosity, fiber or solid particle media, with a thin and sharp gate (resembling a blade) that can cut off impurities and prevent blockages. It is suitable for complex working conditions such as mud, pulp, and sewage.


Core features:

Thin blade gate: compact structure, short opening and closing stroke, strong self-cleaning ability of sealing surface;

Non groove valve bottom design: avoids medium accumulation and reduces the risk of blockage;

Wear resistant seal: using rubber, polyurethane or metal hard seal to adapt to particle erosion;

Lightweight and suitable for low pressure: The main materials are mostly cast iron and stainless steel, and the working pressure is usually ≤ 1.6MPa.


Typical applications: Pipeline interception for solid-liquid mixed media in papermaking, wastewater treatment, mining, food processing, and other industries.


Limitations: Due to structural strength limitations, it is not suitable for high pressure or high temperature (generally ≤ 200 ℃) scenarios.
